 | Comments: |
Entirety of Webster-Jackson Tr plus both branches are fully packed out w/only microspikes needed. Due to some db sliding/glissading the summit cone of Jackson headed S was in rough shape and the section on the ridge is borderline microspikes/snowshoes w/some significant postholing in places. Saco Lake Tr and Elephant Head Spur are both mostly broken out. It was nice being in the trees and not having to deal w/wind for the 2nd day in a row (Franconia ridge yesterday); was gonna do Eisenhower & Pierce but was late so did a shorter day. I use an ice axe instead of treking poles for greater stability/range of motion n due to severely bending both poles last winter. |
