would have been a good day for a dog. This route is not steep and a dog would have had no problem given the conditions. |

I wore Microspikes the whole way and they were fine except for the odd clumping. Also carried snowshoes but never used them. The trail is VERY well packed and after tonight's anticipated freeze will be a superhighway for spikes until the next snow. Took me 4:45 to do 10 miles with a stop for lunch. |
