| Comments: |
A bit of everything on the trail. Ice, water, mud, snow, the works. Microspikes the whole way, but the final 0.5 miles could have been snowshoes. Some drifts at the top were forming, but manageable. Bitter cold on the summit. The trail was well marked due to the wide and simple approach, but in heavier snow/fog and without footprints, you need to be attentive to the markers. Great hike---note the extra distance due to the road brings the trail to around 12.5 miles. |
