Comments
Comments: Trails are in great shape with only 2 - 3 inches of packed powder. Did all 8 miles bare boot.

Great time to get out and do some redlining before we need to break out the snowshoes.

There was a couple very small sections of ice on Pine Flats Trail near the brook, but only 6 - 8 feet long and microspikes
weren't need as long as you were careful. didn't encounter any section of ice under the powder.

If you're going up Smart Brook Trail beyond the junction with Yellow Jacket Trail it looked like there had only been one set of foot prints, but there was still only 3 -4 inches of snow at that point. I'm sure deeper higher up, so if you're going up to Jennings Peak or Sandwich Dome eventually snowshoes would be needed.
