Parked at pullout on Sandwich Notch Road just before the Jersey barriers on the left. Road is plowed to this point but no further. However, it is still open! In fact, someone drove up it since the last snow. |

From our parking spot, we followed the tire tracks for about 1.6 miles up Sandwich Notch Road to a height of land just beyond the gated turnoff for Halls Pond on the right. Took a heading right at the high point and bushwhacked in 2-3" powder on a very gradual climb about .4 miles to the jar. Followed our tracks back down to the road and to our car. Nice views of Sandwich Dome through the trees. Bare booted the entire hike although spikes might have been a help on the road on the way back. |
