 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Gate at Fish Hatchery is open with snow plowed up against it, it does not look like it will be closed in the winter. Due to a logging operation at the trailhead area, the road is closed to the public about 1 mile past the gate. Hikers are asked to park there with plowed area for about a dozen vehicles. It is about 1.2 miles by road walk to the trailheads. |

 | Comments: |
A nice day to be out hiking. Temps from -8 to 20 with a high overcast and no wind. There was about 12 inches of snow on the ground with about 3 to 6 inches of powder on top. I wore snowshoes on the trails, up and back. Saw 4 hikers in microspikes going up when I was going down. Saw lots of snowshoe hare tracks. The views were good just above the cabin. |
