Appalachia lot was plowed some time ago, the entrance off the highway has 4-6" of slick mushy snow - probably will be gone soon. |

I lost a red cord necklace that had a black pumice stone tied into it, lost that today - I would love it if someone found it out there today! |

Looked like bare booters until .8mi or so, it will be a nicely packed runway after today, I imagine. Dion snowshoes worked okay for me today, grip on the ice was excellent. Snowshoes are really really not needed above treeline on the rocks yet, I left mine on for the crampons/traction. Some ice above treeline, mostly frosty rocks from Madison Hut up. What a blast it was to be out, the morning was much more clear than I expected.
And if anyone found my black pumice rock tied onto a red cord, please let me know!
