Take care when parking: the "plowed" parking lot is an ice skating rink (if you do not have AWD/4WD, you're probably going to be in trouble), but you will be ticketed if you park on the side of the road. |

I broke out the trail on 12/19 and 12/20. Microspikes were adequate for most of the hike, except for the final ascent after the junction with ranger. Here, full crampons or snowshoes are needed. |
