Excellent day for this hike-new snow amounts vary from approximately 3" to 8" with drifts easily over my knees in spots.. The trail had not been broken since the last snowfall started hike in micros and then switched to snowshoes for duration of hike out and back. The Trail was a little hard to follow about 2000 ft before hut due to drifting otherwise an awesome hike.
