| Comments: |
Three inches of fresh snow covered the icy access road portion, required light traction. We started with snowshoes, switched to spikes a quarter mile up main trail. Had to find an alternative(downstream) to the one water crossing. The trail surface was primarily frozen granular with the fresh powder on top. Occasional ice, more hazardous on descent than ascent, nothing out of the ordinary. Five hours up, three down. |
