| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Zealand Road closed. No problem on 302. The Sugarloaf parking areas are closed, so it's an additional 2.7 each way, but it's plowed road, so no real effort to get to the trail head. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes, Snow - Spring Snow |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
As stated earlier this week, the trail has 2 crossings. The first is manageable with rocks and someone put a log across. The second looks shaky with the snow bridge covering it, but it won't be there much past this weekend. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some blow-downs, completely manageable. Well marked, well traveled so easily followed |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw none. Few folks on the trail today. |

| Comments: |
I found no need for snowshoes, and micro-spikes worked fine for most of the trip. A bit breezy this morning, but all in all, a great day for a hike. Stick to the center of the trail as it seems to be the best packed. As the snow melts, it will not allow you to walk on top well without show shoes, but on colder mornings (like today), I found no need for the additional weight. |
