Greeley Ponds Trailhead parking is ice covered with a bit of snow on top that provides needed traction. |

Water was high at first river crossing but there are multiple routes across. |

There are a couple of step-overs but nothing significant. |

Trail is too steep and icy for safe passage of dogs IMO. |

| Comments: |
Total snow cover is 1" down low, no more than 6" on the ridge. No need for snowshoes but traction is a must. Crampons or Hillsounds would be overkill so Microspikes are the best option.
Lots of ice on the trail, particularly on the steeps. A dusting of snow on top makes for sketchy travel. I dare say it is hazardous right now and would recommend avoiding it until there is a good snow pack. |
