Comments
Comments: Trail is well packed out on Avalon, Field, Tom loop making for easy walking. Slightly less packed out is some areas between Field and Willey due to minor drifting. Minor ice flows on Avalon at lower elevation. Light traction sufficient all the way, although crampons or snowshoes would not be out of the question in the steeper sections for the added traction, in particular the 1/2 mile from A-Z to summit of Avalon. If you step off the packed trail you will posthole. Really nice full moon in the early a.m.
