Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail was in good shape. It looked like some blowdowns had been cleared recently - maybe one or two comfortable duck unders, no crawl unders. A few spots where another blaze or two might be welcome. Upper part of trail might benefit from some brushing come summer.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one pup on the trail, with a two-legged companion.
Bugs

Comments
Comments: Trail was in good shape - "sidewalk" conditions. Carried snowshoes, just in case (I didn't want to risk harming any kittens), but wore microspikes from car to car. There were a few awkward sections -- some steep slabs with water ice -- but trees alongside the trail (or soft snow alongside the trail) aided safe progress up and down in those spots (I also had full crampons along, but these few spots didn't persuade me to switch to them). Given the forecast, things might change in the next 24 hours or so.
