Nice sunny day above tree line. I wore microspikes the entire way. Snowshoes and crampons came along for the ride. The colder temps kept the base solid. The north slopes on the ridge were very icy. Microspikes were marginally useful. Crampons would have been a better choice on the ice. Some monorail and some running water where the trail was in the sun. Great views today. |
