| Comments: |
This was probably the easiest "winter" hike of Carrigan that I've ever done. The trail was nicely packed and we wore spikes from the car to the beginning of the steeps, then switched to snowshoes. The snow was softer with more drifts for the last .3 mile to the summit. Everyone who has been there since the recent snowfalls has used the old trail to reach the river and the crossing there is much easier than the rerouted, current trail (as I remember it). |
