Parked at the lot next to the gas station; Starr King Rd up to the trailhead is plowed and sandy but still icy - I didn't want to take a chance so I just walked the extra 8 mins up the road. |

pretty good shape - the occasional stepover, with at least one bigger one in the col between SK and Waumbek summits. |

Quick out/back to Mt Waumbek via Starr King on a Friday afternoon. Well packed out and microspikes did just fine. Carried snowshoes but didn't use or need them. Also, there's a nice snowman at the Starr King summit. :) Tis the season. |
