Red said it all! We were behind him and his group. Switched to snowshoes on the way up and on the way down until the last mile or so. Lots of moose activity, as he said. Snowshoes made it a lot easier going up and down. Did some butt sliding to get down some of the steep parts. Left at 830am and back to trailhead at 515pm in the dark. Trail wasnt that hard to follow w/headlamps although the snow is much more packed down near the trailhead so prints dont show up as much. All in all a great day |
