Asquam Ridge Trail up, Carriage Road to Snapper to Gorge Brook down
Today microspikes were appropriate. They were ideal everywhere except above tree line. Above tree line the snow was maybe a foot deep at most. Trail was mostly fresh powder, but only a couple inches deep near the base and less than six inches deep on the trail near the top. Rock shapes were still very visible under the snow. Snowshoes were definitely not needed today, nor would they have been worth bringing. But it was snowing today, so this may change soon. |
