Comments
Comments: There is thin but continuous snow coverage from trailhead to summit, ranging from a trace at the trailhead to about 8" deep in the higher elevation drifts. Light traction is very helpful for numerous icy patches. Snowshoes or full crampons are not yet appropriate. Winds were about 80mph in the morning, dropping to 60mph after noon. We saw one party up on the ridge with tennis shoes, light gloves, and no facial coverage... hope they made it down okay.
