| Comments: |
Bike path had a dusting of snow with some ice underneath, but we had no problem barebooting. Herd path had an inch or two of powder. Liberty Spring Trail thereafter had a dusting to an inch of snow on top of a thin frozen base. Some ice along the relentless steeper portions, but with enough texture that I didn't bother putting on the spikes.
Some more powder along the ridge, particularly between the peaks, but never more than 2 to 4 inches. Holes/rocks/roots filling in nicely. Ledges were either dry or covered with powder; no glare ice. I was able to bareboot without issue. I could see needing snowshoes if we get a moderate snowfall.
Brisk wind on Liberty, but otherwise relatively mild today with nice sunny skies. |
