At Cardigan Lodge in Alexandria. Shem Valley Road was a mix of snow and mud. AWD not required but makes it easier. There is a new sign before reaching the lodge warning folks of being towed if they park along the road and block the plowing. |

Just a short walk to gather some data on Nature Trail for the SNHG. Minimal snow depth mixed with a few minor muddy areas. No traction needed here. I could see driving in that the summit of Cardigan is snowy. |
