Comments
Comments: We didn't pack snowshoes, but feel they would've been helpful. We knew of 5 people (2 in our party) who hiked this yesterday. No one packed snowshoes, and one fellow bare booted it entirely. The rest used micro spikes.
We started at 8:15 am, and there was 1 guy ahead of us breaking trail on the North Slide, he gave us inspiration, we caught up to him on the descend, he too thought about turning back while climbing up the North Slide. Arrived to North summit at 11:30 am, there we met a gentleman who hiked up Scaur Ridge, had an ice ax in his pack, and didn't use it. We got back to the parking lot at 3:11 pm.
Strenuous hike that tested us.
