Great day and welcome to winter. Very slow going on this trail and in the conditions. Snow cover is about 4-6'' which makes for some tricky footing as it's not always possible to see where your foot is going on the trail. We used microspikes the whole time, left the snowshoes in the car, they wouldn't have been any help anyway. This approach to Madison is a bit challenging, we turned around before the summit as we were running out of time. |
