| Comments: |
We followed a lower track on Black Pond bushwhack for a bit just before the “big†rock on the way in, and for a bit on the way out. There was a lone set of higher tracks, Hiker Ed, on the way out that we should have followed near the end.
Brutus was tracked out by 3 ahead of us. Despite that, we turned left early after we got to the ravine, we should have followed the track to the right with a duck under to avoid a steep climb to reconnect with the track🤔 It is “easy†to forget how much up is left after you get to the big rock at the top of the slide. Brutus is just as much fun as the slide. Whomever named Brutus must have a wry sense of humor.
We put on spikes before the last water crossing.
Weather felt like winter, in the teens with blue skies. |
