Comments
Comments: the best part of this hike started on the drive in. Soon after getting on Province Pond rd...we saw FIVE moose in a sunny clearing. TWO bull moose, a cow and her twins. They appeared to be sunning themselves, though one of the bulls was snacking. we drove into the edge of the field and watched them for 10 minutes. Only the cow/twins and the smaller of the bulls seemed to be interested in us. They all seemed nice and healthy. I was blown away. took lots of pics and a video. anyway, the hike itself is a nice wide trail (snowmobiles in the winter). Open woods all around. Nice view of the ledges below Mt. Shaw, which I will get to someday. 3 gentlemen enjoying a guys weekend at the shelter. another redline extinguished.
