Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Slush

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction

Water Crossing Notes: Couple of tricky spots with snow covering the true edge, but doable 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Significant storm damage along the ridge; lots of half frozen mud and puddles w thin crust, puncheon hidden under snow. 3-4" of powder from almost the bottom of the trail, but very little ice as of yet.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Lots of dogs out; conditions getting sketchy for the shortlegged guys, and some steep pitches that are getting. really challenging for most trail dogs. Hi-Cannon is NOT an option w a dog I learned the hard way today.

Comments: Parking at Lafayette is all clear. Lots of friendly hikers out, but not crowded. Packed powder on trail is doable w regular traction, but microspikes definitely came in handy.
