| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I counted around 25 blowdowns on Osseo on my way up. Mostly easy step-overs, but one completely in the trail, forcing people to go around. Someone had cut up and moved the worst of this one when I came back down, so thanks to them! I moved the couple that I could on my descent. Last mile of Osseo could use some brushing before the junction with Flume Slide Trail. |

Beautiful late fall day today. Started out at 10 am and returned to my car at 2:30. Really pushed myself knowing the sun sets crazy early now. Trails were quiet, with only 8 other hikers seen all day, 4 of which were strolling Lincoln Woods Trail. Osseo Trail was much less wet and muddy than I would've expected with all the recent rain. All the leaves have fallen, which made some of trail slippery and hid the roots. Minor, avoidable ice above 3,000 ft elevation, but no snow anywhere. Brought spikes and didn't end up needing them. |
