Comments
Comments: Walked down FR 44B a short ways where it turns right and a very faint old logging road goes straight into the woods heading towards Bartlett Haystack. Followed this pathway through clear woods until it just faded away. Continued up through clear woods at a moderate climb which, once we reached a col began to climb steeply towards the summit. Woods became a little messier, leaves, twigs, some blowdowns and small boulders plus some moderate spruce. Reached the summit jar and signed in. Headed down towards the col between the two peaks. Once we reached the stream we headed fairly steeply up to the summit. There were several cliff bands and ledges to bypass plus significantly more spruce and blowdowns especially near the summit. Signed in and took a heading back towards our car. Pretty steep and the newly fallen leaves made for a slippery descent and few interesting tumbles. Upon reaching the stream in the col, we decided to follow it to FR 44B, sometimes right next to it, sometimes on the ridge above depending on the terrain. Reached FR 44B and walked, slightly uphill, about 1.5 miles back to the car.
