 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The trailhead is located in a gravel pit reached by a side road continuing ahead from the end of Promenade Street in Gorham. Room for a few cars. This side road is fine for any car with care. Two large puddles, but they were shallow. I'd recommend not leaving any valuables in your car here. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Pine Mountain Trail is clearly lightly-traveled. :) Blazing is poor overall below the junction with Chapel Rock Spur. It's very old and faded, infrequent, and different colors (yellow, orange and some old white AT blazes). Starting about 1.4 mi. in the trail requires attention in spots due to heavy leaf cover, lack of use and sparse markings. On the plus side, all junctions are signed well. One medium-sized blowdown right at the summit. No issues on Ledge Trail. Two minor blowdowns on Chapel Rock Spur. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Sure. |

 | Bugs: |
Nope. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
I found one full Nalgene bottle on the ridge; I suspect it was from two hikers who passed me earlier. I carried it out and left it on the trailhead sign. |

 | Comments: |
A return to Pine to finish what I started last weekend, but with MUCH better weather. :) I thought these trails would be much wetter after the storm than they were. Some puddles and mud lurking under the leaves, but mostly dry conditions except along the ridge, which has some standing water. All of the ledges I visited were dry. I saw a few tiny bits of ice, but nothing coming close to needing traction.
Excellent vistas from all five outlooks thanks to the cloudless sky. A bit brisk on the south ledges but not quite cold enough to don a jacket due to the bright sun. |
