lot at the hairpin was fine early to overflowing upon return. |

water was high and fast at all crossings. |

many blowdowns have been cleared from the trail between the peaks and some more have fallen since. wow! |

saw about a half dozen, along with 40-50 hikers. |

these were the first 2 peaks of my quest to do the 48 at age 70 plus. I met mike from intervale and we went the whole way together. very interesting conversation. the going was tough due to the great amount of mud and water and higher up there was ice. we just plugged along carefully and did fine. just 46 to go! beautiful sky today! |
