Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All rock stepped / easily crossed; did not need to utilize the BW's on the snowmobile trail, but that may change after this next round of rain.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Precarious leaner about a half mile in - it's the top of a tree that broke off and landed across the trail balanced on one side by a piece of the bark that broke off from the main trunk when it fell, plenty of room to walk under but might come down with a good wind. There were other large trees in that area that were broken off w/ twisted trunks (but weren't across the trail) so must have been a good wind that came through there; another leaner a little over a mile in just after the water crossings; a low step-over around 2.4 miles; a higher step-over water bar where the dirt has washed out from under it at 2.5 miles; crawl under at 2.7 miles; another leaner at 2.8 miles and finally a tree across the trail at ground level at 4.1 miles w/ lg branches sticking up making step-over not possible without getting impaled - small herpath developing on the side. All these mileages are approx, noted on GPS watch. All are able to be negotiated right now without much too much trouble, but might be more of an issue once snow comes (or a big wind to blow those leaners over).
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: none on trail today
Bugs
Bugs: Some small flying bugs out, but not an issue; lots of spiders / webs across the trail!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: none

Comments
Comments: Nice day out, saw only one other person all day. Trail was wet as expected this time of year, temps comfortable - nice to be in shorts and SS one more time. No views at the top - I waited awhile to see if it would open up, but it never did. Still beautiful in it's own way - so quiet, no wind, very peaceful.
