Comments
Comments: Just did this hike 2 weeks ago, but my buddy wanted to hike King Ravine with his brother, so I tagged along. Expected it to be difficult, and it was. It had rained/snowed the night before, so everything was wet and very muddy or snow and ice covered. The rocks on the ravine floor were coated with a thin layer of ice, and clambering over them without sliding into the gaps was hard. The rocks going up the headwall were covered with snow, which was slightly better, but still less than ideal. The 1.2 miles of trail took a little over 2 hours. Travel once on Airline was much easier, and we stuck to that for the descent. It was my buddy's brother's first time hiking in the Presis; he got a real experience, including headlamping it out.
