Comments
Comments: Had a fun fall hike to Mount Cabot with friends Larry and Ron (it was his "Over 70" 4K finish hike!) Standard approach from the Berlin Fish Hatchery side. No frost, ice nor snow. Just a damp trail.

Note: signs were posted that a logging operation is to begin on Monday, Oct. 28. The York Pond trailhead, Unknown Pond trailhead and all roadside parking will be off limits. Hikers can still access the trails, but need to park at the Fish Hatchery, 2 miles away! Hikers wanting to visit Mount Cabot will be better served coming in from the north. And regretfully, there was no "end" date for the logging operation.
