Comments
Comments: Some mud in the lower section of the trail, plenty of rime ice starting at about 3,000 feet. We bare-booted, but YakTraks would have been nice, at least on the way up. (Ice was too thin for microspikes, which we all had.) Ice below the ridge started melting around midday, so the rocks and leaves were wet as we descended, and a couple of us took some spills. Poles strongly recommended. The trail itself was in good conditions.
