Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The water crossings on Sandwich Mountain and Drakes Brook were manageable with waterproof high boots.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Pretty good considering the wind from a few days ago. There were a few step overs and one large tree top in the middle of Sandwich Mountain Tr between Jennings and Sandwich.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any today but it would be a good dog trail
Bugs
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: A couple guys I passed on my way down (they were on the way up) near the Jennings Spur intersection asked if I had lost a knife so I'm assuming they found one on the way up Sandwich Mountain Tr.

Comments
Comments: Up early today and since I was first up I got to clear the trail of webs. Mostly easy going except some wet slick spots on Drakes Brook Trail where the wet leaves make for some tricky footing on the way down. The top 1/3 mile of Sandwich Mtn Tr before the peak was pretty ice covered but melting. My guess is by tomorrow it will be just wet, but there is a little residual snow and ice from last week's storm. Peak foliage is definitely past compared to last weekend. Lots of yellows and golds but the orange and red sugar maple is past because of the wind storm last week.
