Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Monday, October 14, 2019
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I think I took the last spot around 9AM but to be honest, I did not walk on the other end to check so there may have been more spaces. At 3:30PM there were more spaces available.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only one about 2 miles in. There are rocks to cross but they are uneven is shape so it's takes a bit of balancing. That said, it was not a problem, even without poles.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few old blow downs, easy step overs. The muddy area about 1 mile in all have plenty of rock steps and logs, so no need to get your boots muddy.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A few dogs on the trail having a great time.
Bugs
Bugs: None.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I saw two hiking poles by the trail kiosk...I'm assuming somebody found them and left them there for the owner.

Comments
Comments: Magnificent blue bird day with magnificent views of the fall foliage and nearby peaks. The fall foliage was full of color. All the peaks were visible. Excellent hike of 10.6 miles in 6 hours.
