Comments
Comments: The first mile of Caps Ridge has a lot of leaf coverage, but did not significantly impact hiking conditions, other than hiding some stones. The trail above tree line was bone dry. Took Castle trail north to the Cornice trail, back down to Caps. Both Castle and Cornice were almost entirely climbing over rocks and was slow going. Many rocks were loose, so watch your step!
