| Comments: |
A late start combined with wet and cool conditions in Crawford Notch made me call an audible so this was my hasty plan B. Trails were damp, mostly covered with leaves and muddy in places. Fog and clouds were present all morning...but then again there's not much in the way of views to miss here anyhow. Highlights of this one were the cascades which were flowing nicely. I had the summit and the Cascade Loop to myself but there were lots of folks on the trails otherwise. In the end I could have taken another longer route somewhere but the thought of beating traffic heading south appealed to me more.
