The main reason for posting this report: Shem Valley Road is being regraded this week, and a short dirt section of it near Brock Brook and the old red schoolhouse, west of the intersection with Knowles Hill Road, is being paved. As a result, expect access to the AMC Cardigan Lodge to be interrupted during regular work hours until the weekend. |

Nothing of note for regular maintenance -- but along flat section of Holt Trail just past first set of rock steps west of Croo Bridge and opposite Elizabeth Holt Falls, the log/rock cribbing supporting the trail continues to slowly fall down the hillside. |
