Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water levels have come up but still simply rock stepped across today.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Parts of Willey Range Tr. are pretty tight; especially between Field and Willey. Typical high use 4K trail conditions throughout unfortunately. Nicely relocated section at bottom of A-Z Tr. since my last hike here. Thought something was odd on my way up when the large rock wasn't there to sit on at the jct. of Avalon & A-Z for my first break. Realized why on my way down with jct. being higher up on Avalon than before.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Many out today; water not an issue today.
Bugs
Bugs: Only recall swatting one wasp away when sitting.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Few miscellaneous items hanging here and there; nothing valuable.

Comments
Comments: Busy tails. Nice running into the "Misfits" on Willey as well as much enjoyable conversation with others. Great weather and views until 3:30 while coming down Mt. Tom Spur when it started raining steadily. Lots of mud. Forecast I had was spot on so glad I chose this hike. One left hand turn about 4/10's of a mile below Avalon Spur that at least 3 separate groups had missed on way up which I can understand why as many have followed a beaten path straight ahead at this point. Easily corrected; just a matter of backtracking or merging over to actual trail. Colors starting to come out in Crawford Notch but not near peak yet.
