Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Everything easy, Bypassed first two crossings of Little River headed up North Twin, which would have been difficult rock-hops.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Everything is amazing shape. First time on the unmaintained Fire Warden's trail-INCREDIBLE! Soft, well-established footbed, easy and moderate grades, birch glades for days, with lush fern and hobblebush undergrowth. Birch and hobblebush were really beautiful with the changing colors. Plenty of easy blowdowns, as expected on an unmaintained trail. Lots of moose prints but no poop. Strongly recommend checking out this trail. A real gem.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fin summited her 13th-18th 4,000 footers, and performed exceptionally well. A hearty mountain dog like herself can handle all these trails no problem.
Bugs
Bugs: zero
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: found a small tripod on the Twinway a mile south of S. Twin
