From Lincoln, watch for the small vertically oriented sign post identifying Pine Bend Brook. Right after that are pullover spaces on either side of the highway. Only a few cars at 7am on a beautiful fall Saturday, about 8 in total on both sides of the road with space for more in the early afternoon. |

Really nice hike. Quiet at the start of the morning, even on a beautiful fall Saturday. Good variety of scenic ecology, trail conditions, and views (these being somewhat restricted). Heard a couple of unusual birds, totally different. Beautiful red maples. North and Middle Tripyramid each had a reasonable view towards Pemi wilderness and Presi range (North) and Waterville Valley (Middle). |
