 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking at the Piper Trailhead. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None really. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trails are in great shape although on the upper ledges the yellow blazes are barely visible in places. Made it hard to find the trail. This was a surprise on a higher traveled trail like Piper. The only blowdown I encountered was on Carter Ledge. It appeared to be recent and easily hopped over. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a few happy hiking dogs. |
|
 | Bugs: |
none expect at the summit. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
nothing. |

 | Comments: |
Chocorua is a great hike but it packs a punch, especially coming down over Middle Sister and the Carter Ledge. Plan a full day. The colors are starting the change and the views are terrific. |
