| Water Crossing Notes: |
Three water crossings on Israel Ridge Trail were all more or less rock-hoppable. I was in trail runners and did get some wet toes but someone in hiking boots would have no problem. |

The WMG lead me to believe that Israel Ridge Trail might be rough or hard to follow, but it was in great shape -- very pretty trail, new blazes, well marked water crossings, and no blowdowns. Lowe's Path had some muddy/wet/slippery steep bits between Grey Knob Cabin and the Log Cabin. Overnighted at the Perch which was lovely. No bear box there, but good water source and an outhouse. I slept on tent platform but the shelter looked cozy. Only 2 people there on a Thurs night. |
