Comments
Comments: The main purpose of the trip was to take the Subway and Great Gully trails. For the third time in a month, the top of King Ravine was in the clouds. Subway had a few spots were we had to stop and think. I am not a big fan of caves, but at least half of the trail is above ground. The Great Gully lived up to expectations, very rough and wild. We never really saw the scary spot after the base of the cascade. Maybe the fog hid the exposure. Above that we got soaked from the bushes , leftovers from rain the day before. At times it felt was I was going up a spiral staircase. It took us almost 2 hours to get to Thunderstorm Junction. Except for a crowd at Thunderstorm Junction, we only saw 2 people all day.
