Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 4 cars in small pull off 8 along road and more in Unknown Pond lot; room for many more. Gate still open at 6:00 P.M. Paved section of road in has some nasty bumps/holes to watch out for.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water levels low so easily rock stepped across. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: As noted in most recent reports first section grown in and one will get wet if vegetation has not dried out. Two blowdowns causing reroutes; one about 1/2 way up Bunnell Notch Tr. and one approaching the summit. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plentiful water and easy trail for dogs. 
Bugs
Bugs: They were present but non issue if kept moving. 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Pair of small shoes hanging from branch on right side of trail a short ways in from lot. 
 
Comments
Comments: Typical 4000 footer trail with a mix of smooth trail and heavily used, beaten, eroded trail. Nice Cabot day.
