|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Zealand Mountain, NH|
||Zealand Trail, Twinway, Zealand Spur|
|Date of Hike:
||Saturday, September 7, 2019|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Easy to park at 7:45am.
Few spaces at 2 pm on my return. |
||Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Easy and lots of bridges |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Some muddy areas, otherwise very well maintained |
||Saw a number of dogs that seemed happy! There is a large ladder, but I imagine the dog owners can help them up. |
||Just some bees at the Zealand hut. |
|Lost and Found:
||Great day for a hike! Trail almost flat until the approach to Zealand hut. Then you start to feel the ascent.|
Fantastic view at the "view" marker--don't miss it.
The summit is just a pile of stones, without a significant view, so savor the view at Zeacliff!
I did the out and back to Zealand summit. I met others who were going on to Bondcliff, but I imagine you would need 2 cars for that.
