Water Crossing Notes: None of any significance. Crossing by Silver Cascade was trivial.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail was overall in fine shape. Some puncheon that will need replacing before too much longer, but all of it is at least functional, if not pristine.

Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of pups on the trail, all having the best days of their lives.

Comments
Comments: It was a fine day to be out. Last time I did Webster-Jackson-Pierce, there was fog for much of the day, so this was a treat. I could finally see Washington! I was especially happy for the AT thru-hikers who had a very memorable time for their traverse of the Presidentials. The views were endless, the weather perfect.

Watch out for the mud. There was one spot, I think between Jackson and Pierce, where the mud was easily shin deep.
