This is the Link Trail which is part of the Sunapee Ragged Kearsarge Greenway headed for Mt. Kearsarge.
This trail was heavily impacted by a 2018 logging operation, so the area kinda looks like a wasteland now. SRKG volunteers have re-marked the route with white SRKG blazes and orange flagging. It takes a bit of care to follow in spots, but it will get you up to the snowmobile trail / Lincoln Trail in 0.5 mi. Some walking on slash, but it's minimal.
At the top of the trail, the alternate route from the end of Mastin Road which comes in on the right is cable-gated and posted against snowmobile traffic, but permits use by hikers bound for Kearsarge. |
